IBM Domino 9 now introduces server group and pattern matching capability in program documents. As I dig more into what is coming in IBM Notes and Domino 9 there are always gems.
A pattern-matching character -- the question mark (?) -- allows you to include all servers where one or more subsequent characters in the server name vary
Sales??/Renovations includes Sales01/Renovations, Sales02/Renovations, and so on
This one will streamline and benefit administration and reduce the complexity and number of program documents to allow administrators to work with program documents like they do with server configuration documents.
Apparently you can also use asterisk symbols to cover a range of similarly named servers. If you plan on using server group names they must be set to server only type group and not multi-purpose.
