LCS 2005 and Sametime integration

Since I have now had an email and also a Google
hit searching for this information, I might as well give my thoughts, which
will be quite brief. Unless you plan on implementing SIP/SIMPLE what
is the desire to make the two coexist? I cannot see using one or
the other for internal communications and then another of the products
for meeting services.
That last part was the basis of the email
I received. For some reason they loved the integrated chat client
inside of Notes, but were being asked by management to get LCS up and running.
So I get lost in this type of logic. I talked previously
about some LCS issues, lack of encryption being one. So I directed
them to those
posts for now.
