Wood watches by Jord review - a new favorite timepiece

I have had the pleasure of testing a Wood Watch by Jord that turned into me personally buying another. With modern looks and great craftsmanship it makes them a constant talking point when first seen. Here is a layered image shot done while playing pool.
Based here in St Louis, MO (with me luckily) this was a pairing meant to happen since I love collecting watches. All the watches are made from aged hardwoods and the list is quite impressive (Ebony, Koa, Purpleheart, Zebrawood, Rosewood, Sandalwood, Maple, and Bamboo). They use a scratch resistant sapphire glass on all of them and they even size for free before shipping. The watches are incredibly light often making you forget it is even there.
Jord sent over the Red Sandalwood and Maple selection from their Sully series. I noticed that since they use wood the exact coloring varies per watch. Comparing the one on their website, other pictures and mine there are great hue differences making each one unique. I can say that every time I wear it at least one person stops and asks me to see it or compliments the watch.
The movement is quiet and quite smooth unlike some other brands I have tested recently. The links were easy to remove or add for sizing purposes (I had them size it using their tool and realized I made it too loose for my liking). They use some incredible images from people all over the world on their Facebook page and I was happy top see they even posted my pool photo from above on the page back in June when I started testing.
They are definitely an upcoming watch company to watch (*horrid pun intended*) and I love the fact they are using some sustainable woods. I check the Jord webpage frequently to see the updated style and look for my next personal purchase.
Disclosure: Jord sent a free watch for review with no guarantee of what I would write or when.
