IBM SmartCloud for Social Business enhancements for March 2014

IBM is enhancing SmartCloud for Social Business in March 2014 to include Sametime with SAML support, IBM Docs enhancements, also web users and Notes user enhancements.

IBM Sametime chat with SAML support is coming
If your organization uses federated identity management handled by Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), you can now download and chat using a stand-alone Sametime Connect client and log in with your organization's authentication credentials

There there is SmartCloud Web user enhancements.        
  • Ability to work more easily across teams with group calendars to find available times across the group.
  • Ability for users (if enabled by the administrator) to see busytime details in the calendar of other users. Users can see calendar details only if users grant them this access to their calendars.
SmartCloud Notes gets some updates as well
  • New capabilities are available to Internet Explorer users when the administrator enables the IBM iNotes® Control
  • Make SmartCloud Notes web your default email client through Preferences.
  • For more effective time management, Administrators can enable a feature for subscribers to see details about a block of busytime in  the calendar of another user
