IBM Connect 2012 now adds a +1 day

There is a strange tide moving in towards Lotusphere. With the students there on Monday to fill the Opening General Session and then head to a structured event, the IBM Connect conference was brought in for 2012 (not to be confused with the annual analyst IBM Connect conference that takes place apparently). IBM Connect seems to be expanding a but further with the invitation received today for an ICS sales type event all day Thursday. To me this removes a few more people from the Lotusphere event if you have to make the choice.
If you attending Lotusphere or IBM Connect 2012 in Orlando, I would like to invite you to a Worldwide ICS Sales Enablement event on Thursday, January 19, 2012 from 8:30am to 3:30pm called "@Connect+1". This event is for all of our ICS sellers and our strategic partners who are attending Lotusphere / IBM Connect 2012. This is the FIRST TIME that we have had Directs and Channel Partners there together. I hope you will join us!
We have a great lineup, including 2 external speakers which I think will provide great market insight and forward thinking for our IBM Social Business Community in 2012.
We'll open the day with an analyst overview of our overall market opportunity and then we will deep dive into how to execute the Social Business Agenda through scenario driven buying examples. Throughout the day we will have several of our worldwide sellers and partners share their customer best practices, and will end the day hearing from an outside speaker on sales execution/social trends, as well a solution view of our Social Business in Action!
I would think this could have been done on Saturday or Friday so we don't lose any time at the conference itself that we invested in.
