The DE 14500 Li-ion Button Top Rechargeable Batteries with Charger device is very lightweight and worried us due to the feeling it was cheap plastic at first. We soon discovered there really isn't any need for a heavy device that recharges a battery. We did not like how the battery sits in the spring loaded slot, and we point out our issue in the video. You have to place the 14500 battery just right to make it fit properly.
The LED lights on the DE 14500 Li-ion Button Top Rechargeable Batteries with Charger show red or green making it easy to understand and see the status of the charge. There is even indication if you accidentally put the battery in upside down. You can also put AAA batteries in to recharge. The batteries seemed to charge quite quick. We do not know if that was the type (14500) or the charger but we were happy to see that.
As many others have pointed out the DE 14500 Li-ion Button Top Rechargeable Batteries with Charger does NOT come with the micro USB cable needed to plug it in. You should have plenty around the house but the packaging is not very clear on the OUTSIDE that there is no way to use this out of the box. You will need a micro USB cable and we recommend using one with a wall charger and not from your computer.
