Belkin QODE Ultimate Wireless Keyboard and Case for iPad Air review

The Belkin QODE Ultimate Wireless Keyboard and Case for iPad Air goes to the top of our list for the iPad Airs around the studio. We previously did a video review for the QODE Slim Style and MultiTasker Pro cases so we were anxious to see and test this iPad Air case since it was labeled Ultimate.

Belkin QODE Ultimate Wireless Keyboard and Case for iPad Air

Here is what we found in our test of the Belkin QODE Ultimate Wireless Keyboard and Case for iPad Air

Pro:
-solid look and feel with the aluminum. Really shows in the white version we tested. Also using aluminum they made it thin and light which is very much appreciated. Most of the weight is the keyboard itself.
- setup was incredibly easy
- battery life was excellent (we waited weeks to do our review on this on purpose instead of firing on off right away to test this fact)
- keys were responsive and decently sized and spaced for the 'average' users.
- multiple positions and angles for viewing and working
-auto on feature using the three built in magnets
-the ability to fold back the keyboard to make it perform as just a tablet
- fully covers the iPad Air giving some added protection for the back other cases do not provide

Cons:
- Some keys that you couldn't figure out what they were for till you hunted online in other reviews or the Belkin website. No guide comes with the case, not even a one page cheat sheet
- The magnets can come loose from the case. Just be aware of this if you tend to carry the iPad and case by the ipad itself when moving around and not closed.
- register your product if you want support for any reason (mainly any defects)
- some things needed to be added in the keys and function (like double tap space for a period) that you get used to in the on screen keyboard
-some keys are not where they are on other keyboards, so get used to it or praise them for giving keys more space and moving ones you do not use as often. We picked the confusion side of that argument.

Numerous other reviewers for the  Belkin QODE Ultimate Wireless Keyboard and Case for iPad Air mention that the auto-sleep function does not work since upgrading to iOS 7. When it used to work in iOS 6. Even Belkin recognized this on their website. I did not find it to be a big deal if it went to sleep or not automatically, as it would eventually without any activity. But that is a preference you should be aware of.

Overall, we are swapping to this from the Slim style one from Belkin and would call it Ultimate if some of the smaller things get corrected.
