Additional mobile controls for Sametime Proxy Server 8.5.2 IFR1 announced

From a blog reader comes this new technote from IBM announcing how to implement a few additional settings for Sametime native mobile clients when the Sametime Proxy Server already runs 8.5.2 IFR1.

  • A setting to enable/disable the location reporting by the native Sametime mobile client
  • A setting to allow/disallow the end user from exporting the Sametime mobile client contacts to the device address book

You can only implement this as shown below if you have the Sametime System Console at 8.5.2 IFR1.


First you must download the fix from Fix Central, run the updater and then utilize stproxyconfig.xml in the section to make the required changes.
