I was sent the Acase F1 Hard Shell Case Folio for both iPad 2/ iPad 3/iPad 4 to test out. This is now my new favorite case for numerous reasons. If you want to jump straight to the product you can order it right here.
Pro:
- SmartCover
- Hard shell backing protects the iPad well, including the edges
- All the ports are easily accessible (minus the SIM card slot)
- Slim design added little to the width or weight
- A professional typing mode as they call it (see the video)
- A rubber siding to keep it from slipping when folded like a tent
- Leather top
- Easy to get onto the iPad
- Under $40 when I last looked
- Fits incredibly snug on the iPad 2 and iPad 3
Cons:
- Covers the SIM card slot (if you happen to ever change them
- Entire case was tough to get off. That is good for protection of the device. Heck it even came with removal instructions.
- In expanded tent folded position the Acase F1 may slide on the desk or table some. See the video
