3M Easy Adjust Dual Monitor Stand review (MA260MB)

Once installed, the 3M Easy Adjust Dual Monitor Stand (MA260MB) is reliable, sturdy and easy to position. The documentation has some limited or missing information making it a but frustrating for a few minutes during installation. This stand can be used for two monitors or even has optional attachments for laptops and tablets.

The folded position of the 3M Easy Adjust Dual Monitor Stand (MA260MB) takes some pressure. Reading further online I found that using the supplied allen wrench, I was able to balance the weight with ease of motion. As the video show, the extended arm position is the intended mode for the monitor stand.

Here is a quick rundown of what I liked, disliked and some tips. The video has the rest.

Pros:

  • Simple packaging
  • Great cord hiding and clamping in the cable trays (see video for a tip)
  • Stable (once you are able to work with the weight of your monitors versus the torque settings
  • Simple adjustments in angle and portrait/landscape modes
  • Use the quick clips for easily taking the monitors on and off.  There is no reason not to allow the ability to quickly remove and repurpose a monitor
  • Range of motion was good vertically

Cons:
  • Some diagrams were not clear or I think misleading (like the clamp assembly)
  • You must play with the torque (with supplied allen wrench) to get the arm balance right
  • The arms do not easily bend tight into a flat position to be folded to save space, they perform better extended

Tips:
  • Make sure you choose the right bolt size when attaching the quick clips, as I talk about in the video. Using the longer screws without the clips can damage the back of your monitor.
  • Make sure the clamp sits on a thick edge or a desk.  The weight of the monitors or simple pressing down on the arms could easily break a desk corner.
  • Make sure to put the cable trays in the direction you take them off or face some frustration trying to simply click them back into place.
