Not sure why your your instant message goes to the Notes integrated chat instead of the new Sametime 7.5 client?

I get this question a lot. Why do some chats go to the integrated client versus some with the Sametime Connect client? Previously, Lotus has issued documents stating in depended on what order they were logged in or where the chats came from. I had this well drawn out from experience and older technotes on how it chose.
Well recently (few months) they finally documented that Sametime would look to send a chat to the oldest client version logged in. They have now reversed that in the Sametime 7.5 server and higher. The server now looks for the most recent version of logged in client for the user.
For example, you log into a Sametime 6.5.1 server with the integrated client from 7.0.2 and also the Sametime Connect 7.5 client. No matter what version the other party sends the chat from you would get it in the older version (integrated client).
Now upgrade that server to Sametime 7.5 and it will look and send to the Sametime Connect 7.5 client by finding the newest one. I still have seen this a bit flaky but for the most part true.
